Night
Night time... my favorite time to be outside. We live on a farm, in the house built by my husband's grandparents. I love to stand outside and listen to the night sounds... bullfrogs in the ponds, a distant owl, the night critters rustling the leaves in the hollow. I have taken a few pictures while my family were inside sleeping. We live on top of a mountain, eight miles from the nearest town, down a one-lane road, so there is no one to notice a woman in her pajamas with a camera and tripod in the middle of night.
Here is a sample of my pictures:

I love your illo, good job
How fortunate to actually live in the country... and on a farm too! I live in a world of asphalt and hovering helicopters. :-)
That photo of the moon is like something out of Sleepy Hollow. You have the heart of an artist Janet and should continue pursuing this interest. Seems to come natural to you.
Don't know why, but your night scene reminds me of the ending night scene from "To Kill a Mockingbird." Evokes a feeling of suspense for me.
Thank you both!...and onclejohn, I am flattered to be on your buddy list!
I am truly impressed with your photographs. I wish I had your eye and imagination.
As for the sketch, I love it!
twisselman, thanks! and "To Kill A Mockingbird" is my favorite movie of all time.
Pay no attention to rhoward (I wish I had your eye and imagination.)He has more talent than I would ever know what to do with!
That's a great sketch. I love the work you did using just gray. Nice texutre to piece.
I love your nighttime photographs, and I love that you drew yourself outside at night. I know how beautiful (and sometimes spooky) it is to be all alone in the country at night...but there's nothing like those animal sounds coming from their places in the woods. great drawing!
great illustration and beautifully eerie pictures!
janet you have a really great blog here! I love your picture for night and I read your pages and you are talented and funny. I look forward to tuning in for more.
Thanks, everyone!
