Faces From My Sketchbook...

This picture is the only one actually based on a person I know; I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

I like the one of the girl with her hands in her pockets, the body shape and hair reminds me of Shelby. Maybe you could sketch her? (But she wouldn't stand still long enough!!)
Who is the one at the bottom?

The one at the bottom is one of Nick's friends. I doodle some faces I see on tv. The only problem with that is they sometimes go away before I'm finished.

maybe I can just send you a copy of one of my favorite pictures of Shelby and have you draw it. I REALLY, REALLY like the drawing of the girl with her hands in her pockets though, maybe you could just resketch it and put Shelby's face in!
Love you,
Sis

Hey Sis, It's ok to laugh at the top one.I just realised, her nose seems to have completely disappeared in the scan:)

hi janet, the girl with the hands in her pockets looks like someone you would know cuz she has the stance of a teenager, such a natural teenage attitude. I admire you for doing faces so well! that is not my forte. The girl that you know has a wonderful glowing face and she looks happy. Excellent work. I know you are busy but I hope you post more often cuz I love to visit you.

They are all well done, Janet. I am drawn to the one with the hands in the pockets because you give us something more to look at in that drawing. It's a freer line as well when you show more of the person. Good job.

Thanks Val and John.I think I'm a lot better with inanimate objects than people.Although I practise a lot on "magazine people".I'm envious of people who can draw hands!

They all look like they're of people you know because of the expressions.
