I love the texture. That's the first thing that popped out at me. LOL! That'd be my luck, a huge monster that I'm about to lay in to. Great way to show suprise. Wonderful illo. Love it!
Gee..I don't know which character I like the most - they're all pretty funny. This is such a greta idea, and such a wonderful way to showcase your skilled pencil work. The texture on the chairs looks almost tactile - was this done on a textured surface?
Well within the Gorey tradition of the oddest of sick humor. I LOVE it! I find that concept is the whole of art, moreso than the execution. If the concept moves people, then how one communicates that concept in it's execution IS art. Feel like an artist now?
Thanks guys! I had actually envisioned a monster with one big "evil eye", but my hand wouldn't cooperate,so I went with the Muppet look....and Carla, I did use a textured paper.
This is wonderful. Not only are you a creative artist at getting the pictures in your mind acurately onto the paper, but I also think you'd be great at illustrating children's books. Maybe that is something you should look in to?!? I personally think you would be wonderful at it. Love you, Sis
janet, would you like to be tagged to talk about your drawings and the process a little more in depth? Please email me valgalwalsh@aol.com. p.s. i know you are super busy so you can do the tag at your leisure. think about it and please don't be mad at me cuz i got tagged!
