Old Valentines

Thought I would share these old valentines. Some of these belonged to my father-in-law, who is now in his seventies.

Yup, I remember grammar school days, when everyone gave everyone in class one of those (of course mine weren't of this vintage you're showing here; early and mid-sixties for me). Stressing over which message was right for which person. They don't do that in schools now; at least not in this part of CA.
Wonderful cards, these... from the forties?

My grammar school days were the 60's, too....and I remember the cards being a lot like these, with little movable parts. I'm assuming these are the 40's, and I have more, including some from an uncle who would be in his 80's if he were alive today.
